The Paracas skulls

Elongated skulls — binding, or something stranger?.

The Paracas skulls — Peru
The Paracas skulls · Peru · ~2,000 yrs

Why it matters

Dramatically elongated crania from a real Andean culture. The honest frontier is whether all of it is cradle-binding, or whether a few outliers deserve a closer look.

What mainstream says

Cranial binding is well documented; volume-increase and 'non-human DNA' claims are unsupported by clean, provenanced testing.

The memory of it

The Paracas skulls are dramatically elongated crania from a real Andean culture about two thousand years old. Most, and very likely all, result from deliberate head-binding in infancy — a practice documented worldwide — and that is the honest baseline (grade C). The viral claims of larger brain volume or 'non-human DNA' collapse under clean, properly-sourced testing, and we say so plainly. So why keep it? Because it is a useful boundary stone for the whole project, marking exactly where wonder ends and wishful thinking begins. The only sober question left is narrow — whether a few outliers deserve careful, provenanced study — and everything past that we file as speculation.

Graded Contested · C on the Ancient Code honesty scale (A grounded · C contested · S speculation · U unidentified). It belongs to the Visitors? line of evidence.
